Reasons for picking this hotel: Flying back from the US, I wanted to stay in Ho Chi Minh City for a few days to meet friends and do some touring. This was in a convenient district.

Transportation / Access:

Ho Chi Minh City has terrible public transport so I mostly just used the Grab app to go everywhere. SGN airport is quite close, only 8.3km from the hotel but generally takes about 30 minutes to get to due to traffic. Getting in quite late the hotel was a bit hard to find but eventually I found it and be aware that you have to use stairs to go down to the lobby, which can be difficult with lots of luggage or mobility issues.

Room summary:

The room was in a sub-basement which I did not know when I booked the room, that being said, the room size was quite large, so that made up for it in a way. The room was quite clean and consisted of an area with a raised platform bed. Outlets  US and EU style plugs were a convenient touch bedside.

Large wardrobe with lots of storage space was at the other side of the room. Two robes were provided as well as clothes iron and safe.

Hot water kettle, two bottles of water (free), and additional chargeable water in the mini-fridge.

The bathroom was huge and I was pleasantly surprised to find a Japanese-style bidet toilet. There was a large jacuzzi-tub and a separate shower area we well. Completely huge after having come from a Japanese business hotel.

Breakfast was basic but serviceable, no complaints as it was free! Besides I came for the street food, not the hotel breakfast.

Final thoughts:

Book a different room category if not comfortable with the subbasement level. Also note that the subbasement room is along a hallway where the maids start their job early in the morning so it can get quite noisy.
